The Black Castle scenes were filmed on a blue screen stage with Digital Domain extending the scenery to fully realize its dungeon-like setting, including digital water achieved via award-winning FSIM fluid simulation software. Digital Domain’s handiwork can also be seen in the CG animated crocodile that terrorizes Captain Hood and eventually devours him.
